Nutrition Education

Registered Dietitian vs Nutritionist

While there are amazing Nutritionists out there, you might find it interesting that there is no regulating system, governing board, or quality standard for a Nutritionist. It is actually possible to simply take a test online and be a certified Nutritionist. Dietitians on the other hand are regulated healthcare professionals licensed to assess, diagnose, and treat nutritional problems. In order to become a RD, you must meet all of the necessary academic and professional requirements listed below:

  • Complete a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Complete an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program.
  • Pass a national exam.
  • Continue professional education.

In other words, a Registered Dietitian is the only professional that truly is qualified to help people with their food intake, diet, meal planning, and more. Even Doctor’s only receive one semester of dietetics in their education.

I wanted the best for my clients and to make sure that they receive not only the highest level of fitness training, but nutrition as well. That is why I offer one FREE group session with an actual Registered Dietitian. To get the body right, you need to get the food right, right? Right.
